What is binomial nomenclature?


Explain binomial nomenclature?
Ans:
*Naming the plants with two words is called binomial nomenclature.
*This system was given by Carols Linnaeus


    Naming is done by following some rules.
    1. Bilogical names are generally in Latin but written in italics. 
    2. The first word represent the Genis while the second word represents with species. 
    3. Both the words, when handwritten, are separately underlined
    4. The first should start with capital letter while the second word should start with small letter.
    The name of the author should be at the end of scientific name in abbreviated form. 
                Ex:Mango
              Generic name:Mangifera
             Specific epithet:indica
